XA8800MNu Mini Mono Power Amplifier

XA8800MNu mini mono power amplifiers represent the superb combination of performance, versatility, and look to meet the needs of either audio purists or home theater goers. They inherit the technology of the highly acclaimed XA8800MNE Class-A mono block amplifier. Rated at 130W onto 8 ohm load and 260W onto 4 ohm, a number of these mini mono are all you need for the most satisfying sonic experience. It operates in Class A mode for power below 30 watts.

XA8800MNu features an elegant, simplest look. The circuitry employs full symmetrical, and full complementary current negative feedback amplification. This circuitry design has the advantages of powerful drive, low distortion, tremendous dynamics, excellent controlling capability, ultra stability, and, most importantly, excellent sound. The amplification circuitry can be divided into three stages: the first stage uses quality Motorola MJE350/MJE340 geminate transistors; the second stage adopts Toshiba 2SC517/2SA1930 geminate transistors and the output stage uses three pair of Sanken 2SC3264/2SA1295 high current geminate transistors. Here you are assured the enormous driving current for your speakers.

This amp is populated with high quality parts and careful design for superb sonic performance. For example, it uses imported relay to switch the signals between the coaxial and balanced inputs.

The power supply system is built on a high quality 350W toroidal transformer, a 50A high speed bridge rectifier and 60,000 mF Rubycon capacitors. The specially wound transformer has the characteristics of high speed, low noise, low impedance, and excellent shielding. Additionally, this unit has well-designed self-protection circuit against current and voltage run-away, and power on/off surge. The IC-based protection circuit has outstanding sensitivity and reliability.
